OpenStudy (anonymous):

what??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is what you do, in case this number is not familiar to you write \[x=.2666..\] \[10x=2.6666...\] \[9x=10x-x=2.4\] \[x=\frac{2.4}{9}=\frac{24}{90}=\frac{4}{15}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can check that it is right use a calculator

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yes its right - thanx satellite - i'd done these before but my memory failed me !

OpenStudy (fellowroot):

2.666-0.2666 is not 2.4, its 2.3994

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but 4/15 is not in the choices..

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

its not 2.666 - its 2.6666....... so 2.4 is correct

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

what are your choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dun get it.. the choices are 12/45, 26/90, 28/90

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

those are incorrect use your calculator - you'll find that none of them is right

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

hold on - sorry 12/45 is the correct choice - this simplifies to 4/15
