9x + 2y = –24

the point of intersection of the lines will give you the solution for this pair of equations...just plot it on graph paper and find out the point of intersection (the point that satisfies both the equations)

for what ..no just use elimination to find out solution ...else plot graph of the line on graph paper..and see what you get as the point of intersection...

okay let's say x=1 now substitute this in equation one , and see what is the value of y

or else take x=0 and put it in equation one

you'll get y= -2, then take x= 2, you'll get y=-1 so now you have two pair of points (0,-2) and (2,-1) so plot it on graph ..and similarly consider random value of x (try to take small value of x) and find y ....then plot it for second equation ..you'll get the pint of intersection of these lines which will be the soultion
