Can someone please help me now with writing the equation of the line in slope-intercept form with a slope of -6 and a y-intercept of 9 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

FLVS? or homework

OpenStudy (anonymous):

flvs , they did not explain right to me i dont really get it and i read it like 9 times

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what module is it?

OpenStudy (waleed_imtiaz):

y-intercept=c=9 and m(slope)=-6..... So slope-intercept form is y=mx+c.......U can put the values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

module 4.03

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k give me a second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=mx+b so y=-6x+9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is a FLVS ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

florida virtual school

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one more question sorry can you help me with how to do the equation of the line passing through the point (2, -4) and parallel to y = 3x - 6.

OpenStudy (waleed_imtiaz):

we have to calcuate the equation in slope-intercept form ....rite? now U are given a point..... and an equation.... If the required line is paralle to y = 3x - 6.... then the new equation should have the same slope... which is m=3.... so use point-slope form ..... to find an equation and then convert it into slope-intercept form if required..... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is going to be y = 3x-2 ??

OpenStudy (waleed_imtiaz):

a little mistake... it will be y=3x-10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mann -___- thanks anyways :) do you give tutorails ? like on a webiste or something bc yours good at this and i really need the help

OpenStudy (waleed_imtiaz):

no, I didn't...... But I can give I think so.... on the subjects i knew a bit.... But where to give I don't know..... Well, in analytical geometry... I found myself good....... But not that much good... May be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks anyways :)

OpenStudy (waleed_imtiaz):

My pleasure. If u need help anytime can post... Will try to help.......
