When introducing a dielectric slab in between the capacitor, what are the variations on V,C,Q,U and E when battery is connected and disconnected
If you put a dielectric between a capacitor's plates you increase the capacitance. However, you need a voltage source to move charge into the plates. Remember the relationship Q/V=C.
and E= dV/dx where V is potential and x is distance....so increase or decrease in V is directly proportional to E

when battery is disconnected then q is constant so on introducing dielectric field lines get affected so E will change so V and U will change also c will change when dielectric is disconnected so q is not constant it can flow but V is constant so E is also constant also c will change U will also change
