Which of the following is not true? The origin is at the point (0,0). The y-coordinate determines the vertical distance from the origin. A coordinate plane is divided into four quadrants. An origin pair shows the horizontal and vertical distance of a point from the origin.

The last one is not true. An "origin" pair is a misnomer. The second one is only conditionally true. The y-axis is usually shown as the vertical axis, but there is no mathematical reason that it must be the "vertical" axis other than convention. The y axis could drawn horizontally and the x axis drawn vertically without any loss of generality.
