7x+2y=5

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

what is the question here exactly? @cinderella

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i solve this give a starting point

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

solve for "y" is what you're asking?

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

It's just a straight line.

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

well if it is then... 7x+2y=5 2y=-7x+5 y=-3.5x+2.5

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

or is the question asking for the intecepts? 7x+2y=5 7(0)+2y=5 y=5/2 7x+2y=5 7x+2(0)=5 x=5/7 so the x-int is at (5/7,0) and the y-int at (0,5/2)

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

or do you want the derivative? 7x+2y=5 1+2(dy/dx)=0 dy/dx=-1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am solving for x

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

oh ok.. then... 7x+2y=5 7x=5-2y x=5/7-(2/7) y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you bunches
