For the equation x dot = ax + 1 for a>0, should the critical point be greater than or less than 0 on the graph of x vs. x dot? First post

Well, it should be less than, because the problem states a is greater than 0 and the critical point is -1/a. So all curves above it ( x vs t) flee from it and all curves below flee too. So it is an unstable critical point. Hope this helps.
