A request to mods/admins:

at 4:58 PM (IST) there were trolls and use of abusive links in the maths chat .. There was no mod there.. I even reported but yes: nothing happened at that instant. I know it is impossible for mods to take action at that instant but the messages were very bad for me at least . I don't want to mention the trollers and the messages but i request you all to have a mod there at that time

May be due to some reason that the mods were not there, but the chat got spoiled up at that time .. at least

but: that was only abusive to 1 - 2 people since there are many less users online at that time, also i mean with less users that only some users who care about that...

sometimes, you just have to walk away :) Until the admins can agree on a modPerson for that time span (responsible and reliable user for that time) itll prolly be the wild wild west

very right.. well i would have to walk away if the message sent by me to you was wrong .. but it was true and it just won my patience ...

i think i should have more patience for that ..
but please make some mod online at that time span..

I'm afraid mods don't grow on trees. We look for reliable, mature users who can deal with such situations quickly, fairly, and with an eye towards reforming the users when possible. It's not at all trivial, which is why it can take a while to add moderators.

That particular timeframe is a problem for us because we're also not usually on to spot users who match that description, so it can take us a while to properly find users like that. We lean on the community for that.

All that said, @cshalvey is working on expanding the number of moderators. It's just a slow process.

coming to the point now, As you said that the solution of this problem is being searched and in progress by colm and you all.. I, first of all give you all Best Of Luck for this work. So I am sure that interrupting again and again regarding this problem here will make you more formal.. :D
