Pickle juice. It gives you more air to breath than water and it makes the songs sound better like "blah blah *breath* blah blah". Or, any kind of herbal tea works best before, and sing throughout the day alot.

what things should i not to eat ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Before singing I usually just drink lots of water, it clears my throat. Fruits and Veggies are good before singing but not too many. Citrus fruits are about the only things I dare to eat before singing. Things to really stay away from are: Candy & Soft Drinks. Cheese, milk and any other dairy product. Also, no greasy or fatty foods. Aand that's about it. Sorry for my rambling, lol, hope this helped.
