This site is amazing, it will graph your equations. http://www.wolframalpha.com/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let N = 1.5 and solve for x.

I got 1974

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's weird I got 2004.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't worry, my answer is more than likely wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get 2004?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm going to rework it real quick.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

N=0.05x-98.70 ---with n being 1.5. ~~~~\[1.5=.05x-98.70\]~~~~\[1.5+98.70=.05x\]~~~~~\[100.2=.05x\]~~~~~\[2004=x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see. You substituted 1.5 for 0.05

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. Thanks so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem.

It was right!! Thanks
