B. drawing a six out of a standard 52 card deck given it’s not a face card or an Ace. A. There are two black cards with the value 2, the 2 of clubs and the 2 of spades. These two black two's are among 36 cards, the reason being that it is given that 16 cards are excluded from the calculation. The probability of drawing a black two is 2/36. Does this make sense?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

There are 4 cards with value 6 out of a possible 36 cards. The probability of drawing a 6 is 4/36.

OpenStudy (kropot72):

For C, D and E the sample space has 36 possible combinations of numbers. These can be set out in column form as follows: 6,6 5,6 4,6 3,6 2,6 1,6 6,5 5,5 4,5 3,5 2,5 1,5 6,4 5,4 4,4 3,4 2,4 1,4 6,3 5,3 4,3 3,3 2,3 1,3 6,2 5,2 4,3 3,2 2,2 1,2 6,1 5,1 4,1 3,1 2,1 1,1
