I just want to see if I worked this problem out correctly, cause I always struggle with these problems. The problem is this: y=1/5x -3 I have to find the y in both ordered pairs which are: (5,_) and (0,_) First I plugged the 5 into the equation making it: y=1/5(5)-3 y=5/5-3 y=1-3 y=-2 The final answer is -2 for the y in the ordered pair (5,_). Which makes it, (5,-2). The second one is the same except I plug 0 into the problem: y=1/5(0)-3 Which makes it this: y=-3. So the ordered pair for (0,_) would be (0,-3). Did I work these out correctly?

OpenStudy (btaylor):

yes, you did them perfectly. good job!
