What is the slope of a line that passes through the point (−2, 3) and is parallel to a line that passes through (3, 7) and (−2, −8)?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

slope = (-8-7)/(-2-3)..since line is parallel to given pair of points so doesn't matter from where it passes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would be my answer?
