If you are talking about Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, then the Holy Land is definitely a special place for all three of those religions. To each one, the Holy Land is intimately tied to their faiths.

For example, the Holy Land is where the Jews were led after Moses freed them from Egypt. Joshua led them to conquer the Canaanites living there to establish their homes there after their journey making it their traditional and spiritual home. It is where the Temple was built by King Solomon and where the Temple Mount is which is regarded as the place from which Yahweh had created Adam and where the Holiest of Holies for the First and Second Temples to God used to be.

For the Christians, it is where Jesus the Messiah was born, where he spread his teachings, where he was crucified under the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate, and where he returned to life. It's literally where the Christian faith began.

For followers of Islam, the Holy Land is also an important place in their faith as it is where the Prophet Mohammed is believed to have been taken during the Night Journey by Allah from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque - which is believed to be located on the Temple Mount.
