I have to write a report on the Giver by Lois Lowry which includes a conlict.... what are some conflicts in the book?

The most notable conflict is the ongoing one between Jonas/the Giver an the rest of society, especially the Committee of Elders. They have opposing viewpoints on what society should be, how people should interact with each other, and especially whether the 'utopia' that the novel is set in is right or moral for those living in it.
