OpenStudy (anonymous):

triangle congruence conditions have no practical applications

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

SSS, SAS, ASA... these are congruence conditions, right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes so is there a way to check that a triangle is congruent without checking all the angles ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is thats what l meant to say lol

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

checking all angles tells you whether triangles are SIMILAR or not

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

it wont tell anything about congruence

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

above, both triangles have SAME angles. but they are not congruent!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

one is small, one is very big

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

but they are similar, both look same, eventhough sizes are different

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so they do not have praactical applications

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats not correct !

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

checking angles alone wont tell if triangles are congruent you need to use proper congruencec conditions to confirm if two triangles are congruent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhh what the heck and u just said that my bad ....aint paying attention

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lol its okay :) they have lots of practical applications, you can confirm if two triangle playgrounds are of same shape/size/area using these SAS/ASA/SSS congruence conditions!! hope it is clear now :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o yea its been clear lol ..its getting late thats all :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

4 am there o.O
