if f(x)=4x-1 and g(x)=x^2+2x+2 then what's f(g(x))?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It might make more since \[f(x)=4x-1\]\[f(g(x))=4[g(x)]-1\] Basicall all you do is plug g(x) into f(x) and simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f(g(x))=4(x^2+2x+2)-1\] Making since?

I think that kind of just confused me more, actually. I'm not sure where to start with this equation
