What type of art did Paleolithic people create?
They carved or modeled things. They painted (Lascaux).
@assoapres is right, they did carve/model/paint different things. They usually painted anything that had to do with their daily life. Like hunting, you know things like that.
Who knows? Very little in the way of artwork survives 10,000 years. What we have found is painting on the walls of caves, so we can guess they painted. We find pottery fragments, so they probably made things out of clay that were artistic as well as functional. Given that they were human beings like us, they probably made up songs and sang them, and probably made up skits and plays and performed them, and probably made pretty things to wear from shiny metals, shells, and whatnot, because we sometimes find odds and ends in burial grounds.
