What is the theoretical probability ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theoretical probability is determined by noting all the possible outcomes theoretically, and determining how likely the given outcome is. Mathematically, Theoretical probability = Number of favorable outcomes/Total number of outcomes As the number of trials keeps increasing, the experimental probability tends towards the theoretical probability.

So say I flipped a coin and got 1/2 on each what would the experimental compared to the theoretical

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the theoretical probability will be 1/2 on each. Experimental probability will tend towards 1/2 on each as the number of tosses is increased.
