Need help with a fields proof in Linear Algebra

hero (hero):

Hint: It's great that you're giving an overview of what you're working on, but it would be even better if you posted the actual question.

Show that the group F (attached) is a field.

probably you need to show these properties http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_(mathematics)#Definition_and_illustration

there's a similar Q ... this might help http://mathhelpforum.com/advanced-algebra/156406-prove-matrix-w-field.html

I was trying to figure it out. I'm trying to prove the multiplication assosiaction axiom in matrix. but I know matrix multiplication isn't assosicative and I also managed to prove it using the matrix appears in the attached image, see: \[\left[\begin{matrix}a & b \\ -b & a\end{matrix}\right] * \left[\begin{matrix}x1 & x2 \\ x3 & x4\end{matrix}\right] !=\left[\begin{matrix}x1 & x2 \\ x3 & x4\end{matrix}\right] * \left[\begin{matrix}a & b \\ -b & a\end{matrix}\right]\] What am I missing?
