I need help and an explanation, not just the answer please:) "The seats at a local baseball stadium are arranged so that each row has five more seats than the row in front of it. If there are four seats in the first row, how many total seats are in the first 24 rows?"
It's progressive. Have you written it out?
Yeah. But the answer's given are: 1,428 1,476 2,856 2,952
@amistre64 i can find the series but unable to generalize ..help!
I've got it now but thanks guys!:)
\[r_n =r_{n-1}+5;~r_1=4,~find~r_{24} \] he seats at a local baseball stadium are arranged so that each row has five more seats than the row in front of it. If there are four seats in the first row, how many total seats are in the first 24 rows?"
@amistre64 thank you !! @breberea good question ....
rn = 4 + 5(n-1)
the summation of an arith seq is: n(first+last)/2 24(4+(4+5(32))/2
23 not 32 :)
haha i've got it! its 1472! But thanks though:)
1472 wasnt an option :/
1476 is better if we allow for typos ;)
