Geometry, please help!

A scale drawing of a storage box on a coordinate grid shows a square with the points (-6, 8) and (-2, 5) as the locations of two adjacent vertices. Which pair of coordinate points could represent the other two vertices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. (-8, 4) and (-4, 2) b. (-5, 1) and (-9, 4) c. (1, 9) and (-9, 4) d. (-4, 1) and (-8, 4)

Maybe you could use the distamce formula...... Since in order for it to be a square there would have to be an equal distance between the points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got d=5

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

also as well as being an equal length the slope must be the same

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

the slope of given 2 points is 8-5 / -6--2 = -3/4

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

d looks a good bet

Thanks!:)
