OpenStudy (alexwee123):

isn't there like a formula for this?

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

well to find the scalar you have to find the vector projection first.... do you know how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:/ No

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

projection u onto v = (dot product of u and v over the magnitude of v squared)* vector v

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

after you find out the product you would then just find the magnitude of it to get your scalar projection

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh o.k. Is it -1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait...

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

oh w8 i kind of explained it wrong...

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

proj_b (a) = a•b/|b|

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

so ya its -1
