The equation E = mc2 relates energy and A. force B. work C. gravity D. mass

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mass i believe

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Energy = mass * (speed of light)^2 So yes, mass :)

OpenStudy (kainui):

What do the variables represent? E is energy, m is mass, c is the speed of light. Basically what this means is that a very tiny bit of mass is really a WHOLE lot of of energy condensed into one little spot. Maybe you've heard that light is both a particle and a wave? We used to think that light was a wave but then Einstein came along and showed you can model light as a particle, which we call a photon. But then another guy named De Broglie thought, hey! If we can model waves as particles, can we model all particles as waves? And as it turns out, this guy Young did an experiment and showed that particles act as waves! So now have fun considering that.
