Which point is a solution to the following system of inequalities? 4x + 3y < 12 2x – 5y > 10
I think you would have to graph it. Find the shaded area and all that jazz... that's what it looks like you're doing, correct?
You'd have to solve for y first before you graph it.
Any point in that shaded area would be a solution. But remember that you might have to solve the inequalities differently as to graph it easier to see exactly where the shaded area is. ..... lol I sound so smart :3
well, you have to also remember when to shade above or below the line. Do you remember Desi?
here are answers (2, 5) (1, –3) (–2, 5) (–1, 2)
But unfortunately I have no graphing calculator at the moment. You might have to draw it on graphing paper. It's not that hard :) It's been a long time since I've done these kinds of problems, so am I correct in saying that Less then will be left and down and greater than will be above the line or to the right of it?
We can't just solve it for you. Well we could, but you should try to solve the inequalities for y and then graph them.
I'm gonna go soon so is there anything you absolutely must get explained b4 I go?
whats the answer and explain
i been working for 10 hours and 38 minutes can you plz just gimme the answer
This one is tough to explain online. This video explains how to graph inequalities...but for you example you need to solve for y before you do what the video says! http://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra/systems-of-eq-and-ineq/v/graphing-systems-of-inequalities
ok thank you
Ummm 1: I can't just tell you the answer, you'll have to graph it for yourself on graphing paper/make your own graph on regular paper. 2: It doesn't help if you don't understand how to do it yourself so even though it is a bit of work I'm sure you'll get it :) But I have to go now so my answer is the steps to solve it: First solve both inequalities for y; Next graph both lines and shade the correct area; Lastly see which point in the answers they gave you is in the shaded area. OR YOU COULD JUST PLUG ALL OF THE ANSWERS IN. Honestly I'm too lazy to get out graphing paper, create a graph, and do your homework for you. I don't mean to sound rude (like I really don't) and ik its a bit of work but you have to either graph it or plug in the answers they gave you. Seriously though, if you just tried really hard you could graph it and be done in five minutes.
ok
Curses I wanted to answer the question :P but I hope you will get it either after watching the vid or reading my rants ;P Good luck!
you can answer it
I did.... ugh sorry my brain hurts I have to go too much math for one day. Bye and again good luck :)
ok
Desi, did you watch the video?
I can help fill in the blanks after you watch it.
btw, what math are you taking? Is this a mixed review?
