solve -4(x-5)=13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry divide by -4 both the sides first..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x - 5 = \frac{-13}{4}\] Now add 5 both the sides: \[x = 5 - \frac{13}{4}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take the LCM to solve it: \[x = \frac{5(4) - 13}{3} \implies x = \frac{20-13}{3} \implies x = \frac{7}{3}\]
