if you were to use the elimination method to solve the following method to solve the following system, choose the new systems of equations that would result after the variable z is eliminated in the second and third equations , then the first and second equations 5x+2y+z=-2 3x+4y+3z=2 -4x-3y-3z=1

well you can take equation 2 and equation 3 add them which will give you a system of x and y only

then you can mulitply equation 1 with 3 and either subtract equation 2 from the first(now mulitiplied by3) again you get system of x and y take these two systems of x and y and solve for either one
