OpenStudy (cedric):

What is the value of the y variable in the solution to the following system of equations? 13x - 6y = 20 7x + 4y = 18 2 1 -2 -1

OpenStudy (cedric):

help ):

OpenStudy (cedric):

-2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im just watching cuz i have a similar system of equations problem myself lol

OpenStudy (cedric):

oh okay haha

OpenStudy (cedric):

I guess know one knows ):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for my problem im only given the equations, not multiple choice :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hate how i forget these things, bump this thiing when the time comes XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright ill do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13x - 6y = 20 7x + 4y = 18 make x the subject of the first equation so u get 13x=20+6y x=(20+6y)/13 now, put this value of x into the second equation 7[(20+6y)/13]+4y=18 now all u gotta do i make y the subject can u do that?

OpenStudy (cedric):

ok sooo

OpenStudy (cedric):

-1 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1

OpenStudy (cedric):

darn close

OpenStudy (anonymous):
