how do i do dimensional analisis? please help....im despret!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes!!! thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please i need the help quick!

Do you have a specific question to answer? It would be easier to show with an example.

OpenStudy (kainui):

So here's a basic look at dimensional analysis using the rate formula, distance = rate * time. d=rt What're the units of all of these? \[meters=\frac{ meters }{ second }*second\] Now you can see how seconds divide out and just leave meters=meters.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Since meters=meters, we know that's a true statement, so you know your equation and calculations with that equation are probably going to be right. It's called dimensional analysis because the units of the numbers are the dimensions. It's pretty simple and extremely useful. I use it all the time because it helps me remember equations. It lets me look at equations I might have memorized incorrectly and then check them.

no dificult.. just look out for the formulas for variiius quantities.. likw work=force *displacement just remeber 1st fr=ew dim.formula..others will come down themseleves
