For a birthday you decided to have paper cone hats for all your guests. Each hat has is a shape of a cone, with a height of 15 inches, and a diameter at the rim of 6 inches. What is the volume of the cone hat? *I know how to solve this, but I don't get what the 'diameter' is? Any help? Is this like the radius, or do I still need to cut it in half?*

The diameter is 2 times the radius. i.e. the length of a line from one side of the circle to the other, passing through the centre. Can you solve it now?

Yes, thank-you, I just wasn't sure if I divide it by 2 to get the radius. I wasn't sure, so thanks:)

OK best of luck, reply if you have any problems :)
