I need help with part b please. A math test is made up of 5-point questions and 10-point questions. There are 24 questions on the test. The total number of possible points is 150 points. a. Write a system of linear equations to represent the problem. Use f for 5-point questions and t for 10-point questions. f + t = 24 5f + 10t = 150 b. Find the intercepts of the graph of each equation you wrote in part a. Show your work.
You want to put the equations into slope-intercept form: y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. But, in your case, the variables aren't x and y, they're f and t, so you would use those instead. Does this help you get started?
How would i find the x intercept?
The x intercept is a point (x, 0), so you solve for x when y = 0
Ok thank you! :)
