ok basically you are looking for the interval where the value switches sign for interval (a,b) . f(a) is positive and f(b) is negative or vica versa this guarantees that somewhere between a and b there is a zero

so you have to evaluate f(-1) , f(1), f(2) , f(3) to see where it changes sign oh and because its a cubic function it has to have at least 1 zero so you can eliminate the "No zero" option
