During a sale, a clerk was putting a new price tag on each item. On one radio, he accidentally raised the price by 15% ,instead of lowering the price by 15%. As a result, the price on the tag was $45 too high. What was the original price of the radio?

15/100=45 so 100%=300$

you havea price P. Raising it by 15% gives u a raise of 45$. So, 45$ is the 15/100 of the total price. so the total price is 45*100/15=300$
so the radio's original price was $300?
