OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-1)^2/16-(y+2)^2/9=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

help please!

OpenStudy (ghazi):

do you know the formula of foci of hperbola?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

\[C=\sqrt{(a)^2+(b)^2}\] can you do it now....a=4, b=3

OpenStudy (ghazi):

your foci will be (0,c) , (0,-c)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c=5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well these are my options.. (1,-7,), (1, 3) (4, 2), (-6, 2) (-1, 7), (-1, -3) (6, -2), (-4, -2)

OpenStudy (ghazi):

yes...

OpenStudy (ghazi):

well it seems ...i told the formula of another hyperbola....wait a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did u figure out whats wrong??

OpenStudy (ghazi):

just use the formula for the foci of hyperbola ..you'll get B or D as the answer
