OpenStudy (poohbear):

Each game has a different price. If the least expensive game costs $x, the most expensive game costs five times more, and the third game has a price that is the average of the other two games, how much did the least expensive game cost if the total of all the three games were $46.50. How do I solve this??

OpenStudy (allank):

Least expensive game: x Most expensive: 5x Third game: (x+5x)/2 Now form a an equation that relates the three games and the total cost.

OpenStudy (allank):

It will be?

OpenStudy (poohbear):

uhh, x+5x+ (x+5x)/2=46.50?

OpenStudy (allank):

There you have it. True.
