My answer (if I did it right....), comes to 120,000 A study of American lawyers in a local Midwestern city shows that their average salary is normally distributed with a mean of $100,000 and a standard deviation of $5,000. What is the salary level above which you can expect to find approximately 2.5% of the lawyers?

No one wants to help me with this one? :o)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need a table for this, but it might be the case that 2.5% of normally distributed data lie above two standard deviations above the mean but you need to find out if that is true or not before you can start

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your answer of $120,000 is 4 standard deviations above the mean, and i am fairly sure only a very very small percentage of the data are greater than 4 sd above the mean
