Lets say you have a stick and you drag over the floor using a piece of rope which is connect almost in the middle(abit closer the one corner). the question is what part of the stick moves first, the corner closest to the rope or the other corner. Ive got a much higher Coefficient of friction in the corner closest to the rope then the other, does that mean that that corner starts to move first?

It is also dependent on the coeficient of friction of the rope, the twist of fibres in the rope and their direction to the force. If all those are negated then the end nearest the rope will move first just due to the moment of inertia
