Jack says, "There is no rational number between 1 7 and 1 8 ." Mary replies, "Yes there is, because 2 15 is between them." Is Mary right?

its supposed to be 1/7 and 2/15

yes Mary is right because,1/7 is 0.1428,1/8 is 0.125 whereas 2/15 is 0.133

actually given any two rational numbers \(r\) and \(s\) (with \(r<s\)) there infinitely many rational numbers between them. for example \[ \frac{r+s}{2} \]
