what is physics? whatis reality? How do they relate to each other?

Physics is/are the mathematical models made up by people to help simplify and understand our world and give us predictive power to make machines. Reality is what's really there, and physics is attempting to describe this as accurately as possible, but it's not 100% there and probably never will be.

One other question that arises from this is, is mathematics invented by man or is it an intrinsic part of reality?

Physics can never answer questions, because behind that will always be another question asking, "why?". Where does logic come from? Probability? We live in a fascinating universe and this is what drives me to study science because it is truly a never ending adventure for understanding and learning that my curious mind can't get enough of. It's so weird and induces awe in me. I love it.
