Why did slavery continue after the Revolution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The problem of slavery in America and its continued existence for eighty more years was the absence of political will. If the majority of Americans had favored the abolitionist movement, slavery would have been abolished without the loss of 600,000 men during a dreadful Civil War.

Here is the link, you will definetly find what your looking for.. :) http://www.revolutionarywararchives.org/slavery.html

That is incorrect. Slavery became a staple moreso in the south than the north. Slavery was the foundation of the economic institution which was constantly evolving in America. The revolution was targeted at Britain's improper treatment of it's colonists. Slavery was almost irrelevant to the revolution. Without Slavery, basic economic principles of Supply and Demand would not be as capital as they are now.
