What are the differences (and similarities) between an infrastructure and architecture in data warehousing?

Infrastructure provides the pieces from which applications can be built. Architecture selects which pieces should be used, how each piece is configured to operate, and how the pieces are interconnected and configured to interoperable. It's like the difference between the bricks and the building.
