What about the one's in parenthesis, does that happen the same way? You just do the right thing by doing what's in parentheses times what ever first?

If it's like -8(3) then the parenthesis just mean multiply

That's dividing. A positive number divided by negative number would be negative.

I tried that. It didn't get the right answer. It like a fraction.
