What are some good topics for a 9th grader to write about in an essay? They let me choose any topic... I just can't think of anything good to write about! Thank you :D
How about something with animals? How about animal abuse, or homeless animals? Or, if you want to be more specific, you can write about the bad rap Pitbuls get, or police dog training. Good luck!
I like those topics... If no one else posts any more topics I'll give you a medal:) Thanks so much!
I would pick a place in the world. Researching and writing about a place that you would one day love to visit can be amazing and rewarding. Plus there is SSSOOO much factual information it is nearly impossible to mess it up.
Personally I feel that you have to pick a topic you're passionate about. Write about your favorite sport, or about your favorite hobby. Write about something that you know a lot about, but also something you could do research on.
when i write my essays, i usually write about politics, ethics, romance, psychology, social hierarchies, etc. I find amusement in those kind of topics since I criticize how people act. For example, in love, I usually comment on how people are blindly fooled by "love" they feel, which in fact is just lust. In the end, they just end up getting heartbroken because they never did fall in love. In psychology, I usually critic on how people behave. Usually, I go on the negative thinking of people. Why they think like that. Another topic you can do is probably about OpenStudy, if you want. Discuss your observations in the site. That way, you get a 100% for your essay, and at the same time OpenStudy gets some members lol. Kills two mockingbirds with one stone ;)

what about music???
Thanks everyone :D lgba, I tend to enjoy the more complex persuasive prompts -I actually to pretty well at convincing in real life- that make people think. Right now, though, I just want to get this assignment done with; therefor I'm looking for easy A topics. :) I'm trying to make a "dance" music list, if anyone would like to help: http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/502a7a85e4b0ac7df90ccdae **No dirty music please**
i got some music!!!
get so fly by issa
If you are going to write about music, make sure you cover things like influences and challenges....or compare two bands with the same influence and how they diverged to make unique sounds.
I finally decided to do it on the topic of growing up....as in (beware of messy rough draft) " when i was five I couldn't wait to grow up, always dressed up like mommy and wearing her heels" bla bla bla "Now I just want to go back and be that 5 year old girl again" Of course it won't be that disorganized and messy. What could I write about on this subject (growing up)? What could I use as main ideas for the 3 body paragraph? I'm not asking you to do my work, I just always have trouble with this first part of essay writing, brainstorming. :(
What about comparing & contrasting when I was smaller to now? The benefits(fun part(what I imagined)) of growing up & the "annoying" part of it.
I'm trying to make this really simple but I get way too "into it", even on this topic:/
At 5, children are typically beginning to experience all the freedoms of childhood (school, unsupervised play, making their own friends) without any of the responsibility (homework, chores, clubs, and conflict).
Your three main points can be elementary school, middle school, and high school.
Thanks @r.arena & @Peeps !! I think I'm going to use both your ideas. SO I'd make the three paragraphs, Elementary/Middle school/ High School...and explain how responsibilities/freedoms tend to change as you grow up and transfer through each of the three school stages. Once again, Thank you to everyone that helped! I really appreciate it! <3
Good luck! I'm glad you found a subject you can relate to. It makes writing a whole lot easier.
