I'd like to know which sentence is better and a reason why it is better. 1) The traditional development paradigm of clinical study phases has been a useful tool; however, it should not be necessarily be assumed that even tried and tested systems are optimal. 2) The traditional development paradigm of clinical study phases has been a useful tool, however, it should not necessarily be assumed that even tried and tested systems are optimal.
The second one is better because it doesn't have the extra 'be' proceeding necessarily. Extra words is worse then any other grammatical error. But it is import to note that the use of the semicolon in the first one is preferred over an extra coma in most cases of sentence structure.
Dear MathBlond, I'm sorry I did not type "be" afetr "necessarily" for 1). But now I understood why 2) is better than 1) because of the usage of coma. Thank you very much!!! I appreciate it!
"after'
No problem :) Glad I explained further :D
That was a typo. Sorry
