While I was doing this, I remember something I read (kind of getting off-topic), but I remember reading that eating your boogers actually stimulates your immune system, resulting in a stronger one.
I'm not 100% if that's true, but it kind of makes sense...
I have not heard it and, I'm afraid, I don't believe it either. Anything that might remotely stimulate the immune system - bits of protein or nucleic acid from bacteria, for example - would be totally demolished by all the acid and protein degrading elements stomach. Though I believe it is true that minor challenges to the immune system have a large (and largely under appreciated) role in maintaining a healthy immune system and healthy person.
Makes sense, (not that I'd eat my boogers).
