The question is to determine whether this number is an integer, rational number, irrational number, prime number, real number (select all that apply) the number is .555... I selected irrational and real since it's a non-terminating decimal and real because all rational and irrational numbers are real. It said I was wrong. Where did I go wrong? Or did I just miss one? THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!
i think that it is prime too
because prime is where only that number can go into it. im pretty sure that .55 is the only nuumber that can multiply into it
*.555
Aren't prime numbers only whole numbers? It says in my book, whole numbers greater than 1...
hmm. u are right. prime numbers are where only that number and one can multiply into it. so .555 is not prime. i think that its only irrational
I'll try it again and I'll let you know what the outcome is. Thanks so much. :)
ok. and anytime :)
I think there's just an issue with Web Assign (the program that I use for homework) because there's nothing else that it could be. Not prime, not rational, not an integer. Perhaps a glitch. Let's hope!
im pretty sure that it is only a n irrational number :) probobly is just a glitch
..or is it an integer? Do integers have to be whole?
i have no idea. ill look it up for u :)
Don't worry, I've looked it up and yes, they do. *sigh* I guess I have to e-mail my prof. Thanks again. :) You're awesome
