hey Modes this is a question for you guys. In the rules it says we can show how to do a problem in the steps, although it doesn't say if this can happen when the student isn't there or the problem has been posted for an hour or longer on the math board. My question as long as I show my steps even if the student isn't there would I get into trouble? I am not giving the answer just how to do the problem in steps so when he/she returns they can see how it was done. Allowed or no?

Hmm it would be best if you did show the steps but do not leave the answer. Maybe put down the first few steps so that the asker can get an idea of what they have to do when they get back. All in all, no you won't get into trouble for leaving some steps for users that aren't there.
