well the equation is \[y = -4x^2 + 4\] so the parabola is concave down and is symmetrical about the y axis.. find the x- intercepts by letting y = 0 \[0 = -4x^2 + 4 \] solve this for x.. substitute x = 0 into the equation to find the maximum value of the parabola.
