I'm taking MIT 6.00 CS (OCW) and I am unable to get winzip files which should contain the handouts. Is there anywhere I can find handouts other than the winzip files.

Are you on mac, windows or linux? If you're on windows, I'd recommend just installing zipeg or 7-zip, either should allow you to open the zip file by right clicking on it. http://www.zipeg.com http://www.7-zip.org/ zipeg also works for mac for linux it really depends on which distro you're using ... for Ubuntu which is (arguably) the most common, you type the following at the command line sudo apt-get install zip sudo apt-get install unzip then you can just type "unzip {myfile}.zip" and it'll open it up for you To directly answer your question, no I don't believe there's any place other than the zip files to find the handouts.

try taking the 2011 version of 6.00, the hand outs are on each lecture page, downloadable in pdf format. http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00sc-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-spring-2011/unit-1/lecture-1-introduction-to-6.00/
