statistically the electron cloud is the same around the two Bromine atoms, but actually the electron cloud can be shifted a bit (more electrons at some side of the atom at a given time) inducing a shift of the electrons on the other atom. then one has a "lack" of electrons on the atom and the other has a "gain" of electrons on it. |dw:1345746290196:dw|
